These are from this week. I have to say, I have a wonderful husband - so patient with taking the fifty million photos I want to take with all of us. We took the one of the left I think Tuesday? And the next on Wednesday. And Sophie's starting to pick up my face of I hate taking pictures. It's wonderful isn't it?
Since Kyle was sick, I ended up cooking this weekend, needless to say - not so great, I think it was more the fact that I put too much sauce in it for it to really be orange chicken and it tasted more like barbecue than planned. I used this receipe:
orange chicken
. I picked it because it was a crock pot receipe, and it was supposed to be easy. But apparently, I can't do easy, because, I like the fool I am, cooked the chicken in the crock pot but didn't drain the chicken, so I couldn't figure out why the sauce was so runny. Well it was because of the chicken. Kyle, being the good husband he is, ate it, and loved it, but didn't mention how runny the sauce was. Probably should stick to cheering Kyle on, instead of trying to cook instead.
We did spend a good portion of the weekend getting Sophie's room ready - for what you may ask? For her to have her own room full time. That way Kyle and I can have our room again. In the process of cleaning her room again, I found this:
If you you can't read her onesie it says "I ♥ to talk as much as mommy, " which at the rate she's going with the babbling, will surely be true when she actually starts to talk. Not only that, but Kyle is convinced all she sits and says is mommy, mom, or some variation of mom. It's really cute. He's positive that it will be her first word because
all you do is say mommy this, mommy that around her, Liz.
You can imagine what it will be like "Daddy, daddy, daddy, guess what I did? Are you guessing Daddy, you're not guessing daddy, daddy." Neither of us are looking forward to her walking, she's got the crawling down pretty well and moves pretty quickly through the house when she's crawling.
But the real reason I brought up the cleaning is because little miss is now sleeping in her own room! Yes, you read that correctly, nearly 7 months old and she is now sleeping in her own room. It's wonderful, Kyle and I enjoyed talking normal level in our room or just laughing without worrying about waking her up. Not only that, but because of her location she wont' hear him come in and it won't disturb her as easily as it did when she slept in our room. Although I do have to admit, I missed her being in our room last night. I'm so used to hearing her snoring away in her pack n play that it was a little disorientating not hearing it so clearly.
And of course, just cause:
The most patient understanding cat alive, Sophie is constantly coming up to the cat and pulling out her fur, poor cat.
